:'( :'( :'( So sorry to hear that FBG. It feels like ones heart will break. I have been threw that heart break before. Time does heal. Then one day your walking down the street and there it is. A cute little cuddly pup who steels your heart and you are smitten with puppy love. I know I have said never again. But you just can't resist those sweet eyes, wagging tail, and those puppy kisses.

Karrma that is a great photo. Yes I do believe that we will see our much loved pets someday.

I can truly feel the pain you feel. For I, as many here have said, lost a dog that was very dear to me. It's been 3 and ½ years since Deputy passed, and tears still come when I think back on that day. I too am a crusty old man and haven't shed a tear in decades, with that one exception. There is something special about the bond between a man and his dog, or between a dog and his man. The pain doesn't go away soon, but that's OK.

FBG, so sorry to hear about your dog. It's not easy having to see to them after their passing. There is a Pet Memorial Thread in the pets forum where you can post pics and tell about them.

I am sorry about the loss of your friend. He will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge when it is your time. Enjoy the visit with your grandson. If you get too lonely, go to the shelter for a new pet. The senior dogs hardly ever get adopted and could use some love for the last few years of their lives. God Bless You.

I'm soooo sorry you are hurting FBG.
Your little buddy will be the first to
greet you when you go Home one day.
But know for now that he's rolling in the
grass, barking at squirrels and not in
    any pain. Hugs.

Oh FBG, I am so sorry. I hope being with your grandson helps a little... I have a garden of kitty-cats myself. It's never easy. Feels a little loose-ended, doesn't it? Be easy on yourself.

Like everyone has said... it's very hard to lose a companion. Hugs from another dog lover.
