Cool and cloudy here this morning but it said 95 was going to be the high with only 20 percent chance of rain.
Up and down all the roads we've been on in the last couple of weeks are trees with all brown leaves. Lack of water and high temps are the culprit. The paper said the trees are just drying out and are great tinder for the wildfires. Be careful, please!

Good day everyone, unlike the watched pot that never boils, watched grass grows green. Cool moist air and the grass has a party. Otherwise, for people it is 10 to 15 degrees cooler than normal.......can you spell autumn? Soon it will be apple picking time. :)

Good Friday afternoon. High for today is supposed to be only 93!! I think I need a sweater. :D
I think I'll leave work a little early so I can enjoy the beautful afternoon in my garden instead of this office.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently just 3°C and cloudy. We had a lovely day at the fair yesterday and won a few ribbons for our art, vegetables, and flowers.
We may have to go back later today :)
    Have a great day all!

Happy Saturday evening. Hubby & I spent most of the day refurbishing the brick-work on one of my aunt's porch. "The Dragon" was off cutting grass for another of the aunts. The church in the next town was selling chicken spaghetti dinners... which was perfect since none of us had the energy to cook supper. Then my "good brother" and his wife showed up for a quick visit. Such a full day and the weather really cooperated. Temps in the mid 90s and guess what? Some rain! Maybe only 1/8th of an inch.. but no complaints!

Happy Sunday morning. Woke up to discover that we got another bit of rain overnight. And the forecast has us with 30-40% chances over the next few days.
Today is my brother "The Dragon's" birthday. He stayed overnight and hubby made him a big breakfast and off he went. Tomorrow is Hubby's birthday... not sure what he wants to do yet. I think I'll get out do some weeding and I need to cut back the coneflowers.

Good Sunday morning from Wisconsin's Great North Woods. Cloudy and cool this morning with some rain showers. The fall colors are starting, and showing a little more each day. On the one hand it marks the end of another summer season, which is sad, but on the other hand, fall, in all it's colorful splendor is a wonderful time of year, what with all the festivals, the good food, the great smells of fall, football, and the getting ready for the winter. I'm enjoying sitting here, just before going to church, thinking of all the fall activities coming up.

Afternoon all. We got about 3/8ths of an inch of rain Friday evening. Took it 4 hours to total that much so you can guess how slight the rain was. Lots of thunder and lightening so that gave the plants an extra shot of nitrogen at least.

91, 88 and 90 for the next three days then the temps will become a lot more comfortable and might even be some rain tonight and early tomorrow morning.
Heard on the news the other day that it will take about 20 inches of rain to bring us out of the drought and that isn't likely to happen anytime in the next 1-2 years. So the drought will continue to grow worse.
