    Like the bird in your avatar,..you certainly had camera at the ready,..and a nice selection of positions you captured the Jay in,..well done,..they are a lovely bird.

    I only see Bluejays here every once in a while. Evidently, they love peanuts... but do you think they'd frequent a feeder with the usual "wild bird food"?

    Oh, that is an interesting bird! The colouration is quite pretty. We have a jay sort over here, but the colouration doesn't look a great deal like these guys that you are showing. I find these very interesting, Sherry.

    Henry....don't worry we bought a 50 pound bag of peanuts so it should feed everyone for a while.

    Hopefully the price of peanuts won't go up as much as sunflower chips...they doubled in price and are so expensive.

    I love to hear the Blue Jays calling me to fill the container with more peanuts and yes they do eat other things off of the big tray feeder where I feed the other birds...

    Sjoerd...I love their colors and they will come so close to grab a peanut...sometimes faster than I can click the shutter...

    i do love the colour of blue jays but they do make a racket with their squacking :) only heard ours so far.

    but the cardinals are all over the bird feeders.
