One of younger guys. He gets good grades but not straight A's. Told him to join Boy Scout. And try for Eagle Scout award. He helps in Parks, Weeds senior's garden. He said he getting Lot of $$$$ for college. His next project making Blue-Bird houses. Putting up in Gate way Park area.
Isn't it great to see your daughter catch the gardening bug? I have no doubt that it will be a strees reliever for her. Nothing more fullfilling than seeing things grow, and nurturing them. My daughter never seemed very interested in her crazy mom and our gardens when she was growing up, but now that she owns a home of her own, she has become a dirt digger too! I enjoy giving her advice and seeing what ideas she comes up with.
My children have informed me they aren't ever having a garden....I am not holding my breath on that one. It seems they all realize really quick, no matter how small it is, the food still tastes soooo much better than the stuff from the store. A little more economical, also.
