We desperately need it here in southern WI too. It's supposed to be in the 90's all week and not one drop of rain in the forecast. They might even postpone our 4th of July fireworks here. I just finished giving the flowers a nice, deep drink of water so hopefully they won't be too parched today.

main prayer is rain. It got up to 103* today. hate to see our water bill. Priced $ of electric pump for a sand point. That is how we got water for 30 + years. Then wasn't good to drink.Hard part is draining them -when it gets cold. But helps watering bill. One gal used her old hand pump. Bunch of bees came out.

I'm praying, too.I did catch on the farm news at noon, that after July 21,some forcaster said we are going into a cooler, wetter pattern.I didn't catch the whole thing, was in the car. But this guy has accurately predicted several significant weather events. I'm going to see if I can look up on line any info about this.

I will water with (Gray) water if I have to. Got some very big farmers around her. One guy 25,000 acres of corn a lone.

You can't always trust the temperature at a bank to be accurate. There is one down the road from us that has always been 10 degrees too hot, Just depends on where they are getting their information...most banks get it fed to them from a temperature reporting service. And if they have their own reporting system, it might not be properly installed.

They say might get rain this afternoon I pray they are right. Moved hummer feeders to shade . But temps on Jeep said was that hot also. Never buying the thin plastic container. Poor Cosmos was waving white flag when I came home-and it is self watering one. Thick walled ones was fine.

Koszta, did you hear on morning news food is going up due to very bad crops? This is what I've been afraid of weather will no longer be good for corn & beans. Here, where there is clay subsoil they still have a chance. On sandy soil, maybe total loss.I got green beans picked last night. Threw some too far gone ones away. No way I was picking 2-3 days ago.I love green beans.

I truly wish I could send you all some of the rain we've gotten over the last few days. I almost feel guilty.
I still say that the economy could be boosted by developing WATER pipelines (just as they use for gas/oil/petroleum).
Turn a valve... saturated areas can be relieved.... drought-stricken areas can be quenched...and jobs could be created.

Cheryl, We were feeling exactly that way last year! and there is not a darned thing any of us can do for the other in theis respect. I, too wish we had some of the rain we had last year. I can hear the water still running in the pipe and catch basin out by the garden. I wish we could use it to water across the road, but that won't work since the pipe runs on the wrong side of the road for that.
