Gorgeous pics Bethie, you never let us down. I was just wondering, when you get your title at 500 posts are you going to call yourself "The Butterfly Lady"? :D

Very interesting markings on the Pearl Crescent, beautiful colours. How do you know all the names?

Just how did you get those guys to pose for you. I love butterflies. It's obvious you do too. Your passion shows in your pictures.

Ok how did you manage to photograph those gorgeous butterflies Bethie? I'd have to superglue them to the plants to be able to get decent shots like yours :D .

Well, sometimes I slip up on them on "little cat feet". Other times I chase them up and down till they say "uncle". A lot of them I have known since I looked at them in their eggs with my pocket microscope so I think we have a connection of sorts.
Garden Stew, I just have a need to know the names of things. 8)

"Well, sometimes I slip up on them on "little cat feet". Methinks if I tried that they'd think there was an elephant stalking them!!! :D :D

I'm going to try putting out some rotten fruit (bananas and oranges)for them and see if I can get piccies that way. Of course there'll be no piccies whatsoever if the fruit attracts wasps too though!!!!

I tried to photograph a butterfly but all I can get is grasshoppers. Butterflies move too fast. I saw a beautiful one the other day. I couldn't find it again after I got the camera. I tried staking out the butterfly bush but no luck. Dooley

We tried the rotten banana once and the dog tried to eat it. Then we made a little stand for it and it was immediately spirited away in the night.

You really captured the butterflies .I had a good pic of one but it is blurred when WalMarts ruined all of my pictures.
