Thank you everyone for the warm welcomes. I didn't realize the gardeners on the forum were so spread out and international. That's really cool! S-H, thank you for the photo app link. I will check it out. In the mean time, I tried to add some I had in photobucket from Spring. Here goes... Here is what one area my backyard looks like. Same area in the backyard, but from the opposite side. A couple of my espaliered fruit trees (2 different apples) Three of my dwarf citrus trees, an improved Meyer lemon, a Bearss Lime, and an Owari x Satsuma Mandarin orange. This is what my front yard looks like in the Spring after a wet winter. Right now, a lot of these perennials are still dormant or just to starting coming up, like the Callas and Alstromerias.
Wow... that sure is pretty! Lots of colors... and oh my! Everything looks so healthy... even the chickens.
I to send you a big warm welcome Leanne to this great fun and informative community. There are a lot of folks here from all over the world. That makes it really interesting and fun. I love your yard. I would love to have chickens again. We have a resident Red Tail hawk that terrorized my chicken in the past. I felt so sorry for my girls as they would hide in the barn and hardly ever go outside. So I found them a new safer home. I do have two fainting goats which are really sweet guys.
Welcome HH! Love those pics! Your gardens are beauties. It is Autumn, gardening season is winding down... Your pics are a nice reminder of the growing season. Very pretty!
Amazing! Your climate, even the intensity of the sunlight, as well as the color and texture of the sky - Is EXACTLY like what we have here! I once made a very detailed video of our annual Flower Show (which takes place in spring). So from this you too I am sure will see the similarities in our climate!
