Heres some more pics about this vine. In the front its growing out of a small puddle of standing water. Heres the hole Heres one growing in the back. The ground back there is very soupy. You sink down to your ankles back there.
I have been looking for an identity for this vine as well. Here in Atlanta, it is very invasive. I just identified it as most likely the passiflora lutea (wild yellow passion vine.) Initially I thought it was a Moonseed, however it has multiple seeds in the fruit, not just one crescent shaped seed. The single fruits appear every 8-10". They range from light green to black and resemble a small black olive. I will try to attach a photo of some that my husband pulled out of the bushes last night.
I think it could very well be a wild yellow passion vine as the leaves are the correct shape and it does have multiple seeds in the fruits.
