I was looking at the garden and spotted this iris. I knew there were purple iris out there last year.

So far, there is just the one. This rose was looking in the window and wanted to come in out of the cold and wind. It's blurry because the wind was blowing it around and made it hard to get a good picture. I did take several.

I found some nice pink geraniums at a good price. I put them in a pot by the back gate. I put the wire cage around the pot in case I have to cover them from the cold.

    Hope you enjoy the flowers!

Your purple Iris have bloomed before mine. I did notice buds today, but I think it'll be a few more days or even a week before they open.
So happy to see that you have some blooms.... even with the winds.

Lovely Dooley!! :D It's so good to see flowers again after winter isn't it? My roses have started to sprout leaves but are a long way from flowering. I do have iris beginning to pop up but won't be able to plant out geraniums for at least another couple of months.

Those pink geranium are luscious. I put some petunias in and am hoping for continued above freezing weather  . I just couldn't resist. :stew1: Your iris is lovely.

Dooley, that is a very handsome iris, and the rose is absolutely lovely!
I know what you mean about the wind--I've been trying to do some late-season pruning, and have chased the plants all over just to get hold of them!

The iris is one Toni sent me a couple of years ago. It's much larger than it was last year. I love it.

That iris is smashing to see. It is difficult to get my head around that first rose of yours. Goodness gracious me! What a welcome sight THAT is.

The geranium cage was good thinking.

I love the purple color of the Iris. Mine should show up sometime in June I think. Providing the weather warms up. It is raining and only 38 degrees. Burrrrr. Then later in the week we could possibly get somemore of that #### junk on the ground.
    Calgon take me away. :stew1:

Very pretty, cheery blooms Dooley. The Rose is a beauty! My rose barely even has started to bud, let alone bloom this year, and at the rate our weather is going I will be happy to see leaves before May! Geesh!
