Plant given to me last year. About 4' tall,
flowers are yellow. Leaves on the plant seem to change at some point . Some have 3 points and some are oval. Anyone know what this plant is? Thanks.

    Hi Flowers,

A picture might help, otherwise it's a shot in the dark. My shot in the dark is tickseed (Coreopsis). Some species grow to 4 feet. Now you have to google tickseed and see if I was close or correct.

Welcome to Gardenstew. If you get a chance stop by the welcome forum and say hi.

There are several varieties of wild sunflowers. Heliopsis helianthoides and Helianthus microcephalus are two. Maybe their Latin names will give you a starting point to look.

I see that you've added a photo. Any chance of seeing the two different shaped leaves?

Thanks for the replies. Still learning how to submit pictures and info...bear with me.

I can take a picture of the leaves and send it.
But, you may be able to see the leaves that are
split ~ look just to the left of the pink coneflower and down nearer the bottom of the yellow flower.

Here is the picture of leaf. It looks like the leaves start out as an oval shape and then as it
    ages it splits.

I think its a form of Helianthus multiflorus. Around here, we call them Loo Loo plant as they used to be planted around people outhouses LOL
