I decided to show the photo’s that I have of some of my projects. The only represent a few of the projects. The first 10 years of my retirement I went through about 3000 Bf of black cherry, 1000 Bf of red oak and 500-600 Bf black walnut. Pryor to retirement, I had built up a nice hobby woodshop and the shop photo is of that woodshop. In preparing for retirement, I decided to upgrade the shop with more industrial type equipment. I ended up with a shop that would rival Norman A’s shop. Unfortunately, I have no photos of that shop.

This is a photo of that Shop.

In the shop photo there are three semi finished reproductions of a Civil War field desk. I don't know which side they were used by. This is a finished one.

I just keep getting more and more impressed by your handiwork.
My dad did some woodworking... mostly cabinets. And he worked as a carpenter.
I think it would be so much fun to build stuff.
    You definitely have a gift!

Oh my I can hardly believe that you've created all those marvellous pieces of furniture John. I'd fill my home with your work if I could and be proud to tell everyone who made it and how privileged I was to own it.

Beautiful woodworking jbest! I love your pieces! I really like furniture made from read wood, not the veneer & sawdust that many things are made of today.

Love all of them... and I love that wall.
In my old house in New Mexico, we used old barn lumber on the walls in the living area and hallway.

WOW! I love all of your work. Very impressive. I do not know what you did before retirement, but you may have missed your calling? I have a few antiques, some are handmade. One is made by a craftsman from Reading PA, his name was "Daddy Alwein", and that was back in 1880. You could be one of his descendants perhaps. You have similar talents at least. If you have not started doing so, I would suggest that you sign your work in some way.
