With the C-word looming on the horizon and 2 young ladies expecting their first babies in the fortnight before the C-word and a christening to sew for I've been busy with the sewing machine... Oh and then I offered to make a dress for our nearly grand-daughter... "Princess" dress for Elena(aged 4) ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) Nursery rhyme changing mat ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) Farm yard changing mat ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) Cot quilt front ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) The Back ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) Heat resistant table runner ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) Little girl's wall hanging ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) Santa decorations ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) and I've also been trying a couple of new crafts in any 'spare' time... Paper-pieced mug rug in progress ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) Jaoanese folded patchwork ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) I still have quite a list of projects that I'd like to get finished and seeing as the weather is taking a turn for the worse I may have plenty of indoor time to get them done.
Oh, I am so glad I finally figures out what the "C" word was.... silly me. at first I thought cancer, then you were excited about the new additions and I thought it was the c-section word and then I figured out those were both wrong and it's Christmas? The dress for your "nearly" grand daughter is darling. I hope she is as impressed as me. All your sewing is always fun to look at. Thanks for sharing.
My goodness, you have been a busy girl!! I too didn't realize what the "C' word is, but I got it! Yes, the season is almost upon us... time to prepare. I can't wait until my Autumn tidies are finished, and I have some time! I love your quilts and other projects. The changing mats are a nice gift idea...
Well I knew exactly what the C word was as I've been busy too. I admit that I couldn't sew wonderful things like you do but I have been making boxed wedding cards, (3 due soon) birthday cards, C. cards, advent calendars, photo calendars etc. With the shorter nights I can't stay outdoors as much as I'd like so keep myself busy inside. It looks as though you've outdone me though with all the beautiful things you've been making. I have a feeling each and every one will be very much appreciated.
You have been doing some remarkable work there, KM. I had marvelled at your quilts in the past...but this new stuff is quite interesting as well. Chapeau!
It is all so lovely, and I am so glad I was wrong about which C word you meant. Your children and grandchildren will love their gifts.
Wow you have been so busy KM. Your crafted items are top notch as usual! I especially love the cot quilt. Maybe I should program something into the forum to censor the C-word if it is ever posted before hmmmm, December!
Thank you all for your lovely comments Sorry about the C-word confusion though. Frank, that's a good idea! Eileen, pictures please!!!! I wouldn't know where to start making cards and I'm sure your work is every bit as interesting as mine. I gave the nursery rhyme mat to its recipient this morning along with a knitted blanket and She was over the moon with them both. The 'princess' dress goes to its new owner next week-end-she asked for pink so I think I fulfilled the brief!!
Those are all gorgeous! Anyone would be thrilled to have either of them. I particularly liked the barn-yard changing mat. And that's a wonderful idea about the heat resistant table runner. Well done!
