Last roses of summer (and fall)

    We had our first freeze last night, Nov. 11-12, so I harvested all the roses in bud and just opening. We ended up with five bouquets:

    They are scattered around the house, adding their fragrance in almost every room. I'll deadhead the bushes and wait for them to bloom again in spring.

    OO I do so love the scent of roses in the house. I have 'lost label' David Austin roses in the front garden and they're perfumed. I bring some in when we have visitors and they always remark on the lovely scent they give off.

    Very nice,..i must cut some of my buds and those almost in bloom,..it would be nice to get a last scent before the heavy frost,..or snow.
