Hey Dan, well...it sounds like you are well on your way with the garden. Not enough hours in a week, eh?

Gad!---blunted 6 drill bits?! Mate, why didn't you first drill the hole with a bit before you screwed the fence ? hahaha...yeah, it's extra work, but if your bride does the drilling and you the screwing, I'll bet it would go super fast.

Do you use mycorrhiza’s on the roots and in the hole of the trees/shrubs you are transplanting?

Looking forward to the pics when you have time.

I'm with Donna--things are looking very good there. I reckon that your work will be suspended for a couple of days, eh?

    Thx guys,
Yup can do rest at my leisure now, as getting the fruit trees in as early as possible was priority.

Need to tidy up the garden next, makes some benchs in the green house and potting shed.

Then do hard landscaping of paths, and wait to see what grows :-D

Y'know Dan...I wish that you had a web cam hanging on a pole there so that we could follow your progress. hahaha.

One thing for sure, you are going to have quite a lot of debris for a compost bin. Or so it seems from what we've seen and heard so far.

How is the storm where you are. it was pretty bad over here, but to tell you the truth--I have seen worse. I get the idea that it was worse in other places in the country and in other countries.

    Stay safe.

Lol now theres an idea. Most of the debris has been chipped and slowly making paths at the allotment following your suggestion.

Was slightly worried as we had just planted but nothing major from the wind. LucKily noneof the debris went flying into the greenhouse

Glad to hear that, Dan. The storm was pretty bad over here and we even had to close the flood gates in the south of the country because along with the hard winds...there was a spring tide that was ~4 metres, I believe. Everything going wrong all at once.

Wow need to post an update soon on this project too. Looking back through the pics i forgot what it was like before.

We just finished a load of landscaping last weekend, so garden is taking shape.

More importantly all the fruit trees we planted last year have taken and started to leaf.

    Pics to follow

Still a mess but layout is there with paths. Moving plants around not to fill in gaps. Going to be one big cottage garden bed on left of path.

Yes, things are shaping up nicely. I am quite interested to see how this turns out.

Say Dan, what is that small bush with the white flowers over to the left in that first piccy?

Sorry for not posting work has been crazy this year.

Thought I would update this post as garden is starting to come together.

The flowers are in bloom, most are from the original garden just replanted.

The bed on the right is going to be a cottage garden. We still have to clear the left of the path

As for the bottom of the garden the raised beds are in with brick pavingvsurrounding them

Need to ordercsome manure to top them off.

My mini orchard or belgian fence of apple trees seems to be working.

This years growth has crossed already so by year three I am hoping to reach top of fence.

As for the front the herbs are loving the sunny spot
