:p Sometimes I sit here and brainstorm about all the things I could do, like my gilding, or building a terrarium and minature buildings, or doing landscaping, or just about any other art I can think of.

I have a real attraction to shiny metals and that is what got me so enthusiastic about gilding. Gold is so beautiful and when it is applied to several forms it takes shape.

I am obsessive and once I think of something I usually do it. Built benches one summer, gilded a frame or two, and later painted over the frames if my tastes or picture changed. Landscaping...so much terracing done and to do. New beds to create, plant or just redo. Collecting windows and doors for some sort of greenhouse/cold frame that will take shape hopefully this summer. Finished off my hubby's 'smoke shack' last summer and finished my potting bench and panel/gates to hide those ugly storage area. Then there were bookshelves to build, house painting to do, a coat closet to create and a chair to reupholster . So much fun to accomplish and already accomplished. With all these projects some how I haven't started my silver smithing or found time for my water colors. Do have the supplies to tackle these projects, but will probably wait until I retire. So much that I want to do and never enough time  What a wonderful wealth of possibilities.

WOW! Now you've gone and done it. One more project for me to get to in the Spring...... I always kept a terrarium outside in the Summer for both myself and my daughter. They were planted, sealed and almost maintenance free.

I think I will set one up again this year. All kidding aside DeaneRenata. Thank you for making my little light turn on in my head. I just did that little "daydreamy thing". Now I have to dig out one of the tanks.

Hi. I like to see some really good gilding on Pottery and Porcelain - all is nice but some is especially intricate and beautiful.

Deane, I often want to do something, but I am simply not artistic nor "crafty". I do enjoy seeing all the beautiful and inventive things people here on the Stew make for home and garden.
