I can't wait to see the new space, but I am sure you can hardly wait to use the new space. It is coming along, now.
The little supervisor is doing a great job for you. Showing a little monkey face is very important for being supervisor, you know!

:D Carolyn yes I can hardly wait.

    Thanks Sgmgarden.

Donna, the garden is suffering lots and I am comforting the plants as much as I can everyday after the workers stop for the day. To make matter worst there is still no sign of rain and the haze is back. I have not planted anything new since it all started.

Thanks Koszta Kid, the waiting is the most difficult part.

I guess the concrete for the frame work is dry enough and they had started work on building up the wall.

The started on the wall above the frame work first for the roof which I have no idea why.

We are making use of what we call light bricks here which is actually autoclaved aerated concrete and is manufactured by a French company here. We specify this because of the close proximity of the steep drop to our back neighbour. Having less weight will greatly reduce the ground stress.

As of yesterday some part of the wall is up and we can now have a better idea of how it will turn out.

The little supervisor was not around for the past few days so I guess everything is progressing well.

Donna this is how the garden is at the moment.

Some of the plants were destroyed by the construction debris and so I decided to harvest most of it to prevent total lost.

Coming back to the construction, I guess they should be starting on the roof trusses today. There are lots of clanking, banging, grinding going on at the moment.

KK Ng, Think of all these mishaps as "growing pains". You may be suffering with your plants but just think of the growing you are doing and what you will have in the future.

You'll be able to really grow things then. :-D

Seen with the naked eyes the sun was red, but through the lens of a compact camera this is the result. We always get red sun when the haze is really bad coupled with the very dry season.

Thank you so much Barb, I really needed the encouragement. Having to make sure the contractors do things right without offending them is indeed a very difficult and stressful job. It was like a mad house yesterday when all three group of people - the builders, plumbers and electrician - were in working at the same time. The most difficult part is discovering some of my veggies being trampled on :scheming: ... I guess it will even be worst if I were to see who did it!!!

This is going to my last posting on this topic and I will have a new post when all is done. Most part of the kitchen is almost done and I am keeping my fingers crossed that it can be done within next month.
