trees and plants - Zone 5, NH

    some plants around my property that took my interest. there's so many I have no idea what they are, but these ones seemed to peak my interest, so trying to figure out what they could be.

    8 crabapple? weird how it has tiny small stems the grow leaves like that.

    looks like flower buds of Chaenomeles (Japanese Quince)

    looks like the weird alien looking thing was a maple tree, never seen anything like that before. you can see how much growth came out of those stems since the fist picture was taken.

    What are these things?, they seem to grow all around the property in various places.

    I think Calin is right, #3 is flowering quince.

    This last image is Horsetail, it doesn't do much and becomes very invasive. I would get rid of it quick!

    Netty---I couldn't remember that name! Thank you. I have it growing in a dampish area that is wild, uncultivated.

    the horsetail version, I believe is this. I looked it up and there are a few different kinds, but I'm pretty sure it is this. It is growing along a small stream with some other stuff, fern and what not, and also in a wet area near the edge of the woods. I think it is native, I have a few garden areas, and the rest of the lot and woods, I'm lookin got just leave the native plants, such a learning curve to figure out what things are, thanks for the help in figuring stuff out.
