My Camellia Bloomed!

    It's a Camellia Shishi Gashira.
    I found it on sale late Spring (I believe). Really didn't expect the little thing to bloom at all this year.

    I don't care for the color pink but that is beautiful.

    I do not know this Camelia at all. Theyt are lovely any time they choose to bloom.

    Thanks everyone! I got it because the tag said it would bloom in Fall and Winter. Guess it was right! Hopefully it'll grow up big and tall. Sure is a nice thing to see those bright colors this time of year.

    It will not grow big and tall. This is a slow and low growing cultivar. Often referred to as a dwarf form. :(


    It's not really a dwarf. Just slow growing. Unless, of course, you talk to it.

    The tag says it can reach 6 feet. That's tall enough for me! It also says its slow growing. Wonder how slow is slow?

    Omg I can't believe my Camellia buds are coming on slowly already, they never usually start till spetember...it fought through with last winter and I did have a nice show with it after I had hubby do an Igloo cover up :chuckle:
