Welcome to GardenStew. I think everyone on here is organic so there are plenty of 'brains to pick' among our members.
Knowing your growing zone or country will help. Since our members are from all over the world there are bound to be a few who will know how to answer your questions specific to your region.

We'll all jump in with advice and suggestions, but knowing where you are, what kind of gardening you plan to do (container, raised bed, in-ground), and how much space you are working with would be very helpful.
This is a great place to learn and discuss, so welcome, and please post any questions you have.

Hi Jack. I love organic, too. I only eat organic breakfast cereal and bread. On the other hand I've become quite pragmatic in some ways.

The first assignment I had in agronomy was to compare a low input crop with a high input one. I compared sorghum crops in India and Australia, and found we (Australia) had four times the harvest! Since we have seven billion people to feed I reassessed my solid organic stance.
