It is a cactus, those spines hurt! But which one?

I was walking out of a CVS Pharmacy the other day and these were on an end cap shelf. They had pretty, shiny paper wrapped around the pot and a dried flower glued to the top but absolutely no name. Opposite sides of the same plant.

Toni I think the cactus could be Cereus tetragonus -"Fairy Castles." It doesn't have flowers of its own so that's probably why they stuck dried flowers to it.

BINGO Eileen!!! Thanks much. The cactus growers that supply most garden centers around here glue on the straw flowers to make it more appealing to a buyer.

It's in our plant data base as Acanthocereus tetragonus 'Fairy Castles' (Barbed-wire Cactus, Chaco)

I need to get some cactus growing medium and a shallow planter, I have a small fairy garden out front it will go next to.
