We have a pair of Inca doves who like to visit our feeders, then sit on the fence and discuss plans for the day (which seems to be frequent stops at the feeders!).
Eurasian Collared doves are an invasive species, and White-winged doves are aggressive, but Incas are mild mannered and the favorites of everyone. We sometimes have Mourning doves, but not so frequently that we can work up a relationship with them. two Incas.jpg

They obviously feel comfortable in your beautiful garden MG! Did you ever think that maybe they are plotting something more... nefarious?

Frank, I hadn't thought of that. After all, it's the innocent looking ones we have to be wary of.
If we end up with Austrolorp/Inca chickens, I'll let you know . . . .

They are so cute. I like the color of their feather. We have many Morning doves that visit our feeders. Boy are they ever mean to each other. These little doves sound so sweet. I will have to check out what those collared doves look like. Never heard of them before. Thats a great picture.
