Did anyone else witness the supermoon / rare blood red moon last night? I set my alarm for 3:10 AM to see it and was not disappointed :nerdy:

Green with envy - wanted to see it sooo badly - but if I had stepped out and turned my head up last night, I might have drowned![IMG]

Finally getting some sun today, I'd nearly forgotten what it looked like.

We kept going outside during the evening but the clouds never budged, so we were not able to see it. Clouds do not show up during the hot summer days when we need them, only at night when there is an eclipse.

We had clear skies and got to see it! We saw a lot of our neighbors outside that we rarely see on a normal day.

We saw the "blood moon", and my husband managed to get this photo. The night was fairly clear and cloudless, but the eclipse/supermoon was less than we had thought.

We still had our Australian visitors staying with us but I did try to see the eclipse. The sky was clear but by the time I got out to have a look the moon had disappeared behind the rooftops. :frustrated:Somehow I always seem to miss out when there's something worth seeing in the night sky. :(
