Electronics has come to plants. I suppose it had to happen sometime. Scientists at Linköping University in Sweden have created both analog and digital electronic circuits in roses. Vascular pathways normally used to transport water and nutrients (everybody remembers the Xylem right?) Wires, Xylem Transistors and logic functions have been demonstrated. Even a type of display device.

The story and link are here:
Linköping University. "Electronic plants created." ScienceDaily. ScienceDaily, 20 November 2015. <www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2015/11/151120182611.htm>.

Who knows!! Some day in the future a Geranium may be running the garden. :)

Please, please, please tell me that the electronic plants can be programmed to pull weeds!
