What an awesome Tree!

    I just had to share this pic of a huge weeping Willow that is in a yard on my way to see my Mom. The color is so limey I just love it.

    Thank you everyone. Every time I drive by it I am in awe. Plus it has such a lime green color. I love lime green. The only drawback on these trees is that they are really messy. They shed all of their tine branch's every fall.

    Back in the 50`s and 60`s weeping willow and mimosa were popular landscape trees. I love both regardless of the mess. Let the leaves fall,, our Texas wind will clean the lawn.
    Is that a fir tree next to it ? It should be the next White House Christmas Tree.

    Droopy I do not think I will be able to do that as it is in some else's yard. But I do tell it that it is a magnificent tree.

    Mart willows are still used around here as landscape trees for their beauty. Yes, that is a Spruce tree next to it. It would make a super Christmas tree. Not sure if the folks who own it would want to cut it down. But that was a great idea.

    Netty---Thank you for saying so. I didn't pay much attention to the Spruce until several folks have mentioned how beautiful it was also. It is quite a large one. Here in Wisconsin they are not a native tree and are under attack by two different fungus's. I believe one is called "Needle Cast". They start looking their needles on the branches starting at the trunk and working it's way outward. A few years ago we had to cut a 25ft one down in our front yard that was diseased and burn the branch's. Otherwise it could spread to other Spruces in the area.

    Kay I sure agree. I wonder how old it is. Seeing it is that tall.:rolleyes:

    Willow grow pretty quickly but from the size of the trunk I would guess a good 30+ years old at least.

    Awesome,..the size the color and the way the foliage is flowing down,..even the location sets it off,..fantastic picture.
