These were mine this year. I had 1 bulb from last year (didn't produce any flowers) and I bought 2 discounted amaryllis mid-January and planted them. They came on like gangbusters and flowered beautifully :)

Wonderful photographs Carolyn and Islandlife. I love amaryllis flowers - especially the stronger colours.

I love that pink Islandlife. Lovely!. My son asked if I knew how to grow an amarylis at Christmas time and I said of course. I have a beautiful red one. he said "oh I was going to get you one" and I said "oh, get me a pink one". ... he did. a beautiful appleblossom tag attached to the box... it was red.

So it's been a couple of weeks since the last post here and I was in the greenhouse yesterday and way back in the windowsill I found this....
    amerilys.jpg

Can you see it through all the junk....? I can not get to it at all. I can only enjoy it the same as you...here.... I usually foster these out to my friends who can't grow plants. They are rent-a-flowers... I can not do that this year for I can not begin to get to these.

They are blooming so much later than all of yours.... I just don't understand why we are so late....but I still love them to the moon and back....

beautiful Barb. I was so hoping that was the color of the one my son got me for Christmas but sadly it was another red one. I was beautiful, too... I just wanted a pink one.
