But seriously though The rain started about a week ago with a bad storm that rolled through. Had a tornado warning, and read on Facebook that a tornado had been spotted on the opposite side of town (about a 15 minute drive from our house). And it's been raining pretty much every day since then. I know rain is good for the earth, and I get antsy when it goes too long between showers during the summer, but this much rain is depressing me. I was awake for almost 4 hours this morning before finally getting out of bed. I need some sun!
I've got nothing but sun....trade with you. Hope you get a chance to dry out, scrape the mildew off everything and sit in the sun for hours at a time.
We have had an interesting spring so far, It got so warm here, even pumpkins and peppers germinated in the compost, Then on about 20th April 3 days of heavy frosts, and then on the 27th of april snow all day, and a couple more frosts and now it´s warmer with gentle rain and sun for the last few days, with the weather forecast giving us more of the same for the foreseeable future.
I think none of us have any fabulous weather going on some is way worse than ours is. I am thankful to not have the tornadoes.
We got over 6 inches yesterday and the yard has spots of standing water today hopefully it will dry by the weekend so I can mow. One things for sure the grass and gardens jumped up and cheered.
Great picture Jen sorry you are having all that rain,..were it possible i could send you some sun,..we are into Summer for the past four days and its on average since 30C-84F,..will it last ?.
I hope that you don't start growing scales and fins.--That was a great pic. We here are all walking around with long faces from the inclimate weather. Hope that things there hurry up and improve for you.
It's wet here in Ontario too. We are currently under a rainfall warning as rainfall totals are expected to reach 50-70 mm today, with rain continuing for the next 3 days. I've already heard about some freeways being closed due to flooding and the go trains are cancelled due to flooding. Cool temperatures as well ... our 'normal' temperature for this time of year should be 17°C yet we will be dipping below the freezing point this weekend. They are even calling for SNOW this weekend!! If this keeps up, we will need an Ark. Good thing I Noah guy
Ive seen a few funny pics on Facebook about all the rain. I know there are places hit harder than my small patch of Indiana, but the constant rain is exhausting. Its supposed to be sunny Sunday and Monday, but after that, more rain
