Those swans are amazing. They are wild, right? Not paid actors for the tourists? Or very real looking cardboard cutouts?

:sete_056:Lol Cayuga Morning,..you would think they were all present for the tourists as there are so many swans here just now,..what is attracting them is the river is rising daily and the swans are wading in water which was meadow,..they love eating the greens,..be it grass or a mix of grass and herbs.

I was able to walk along the river bank in the picture below just two weeks ago,..also able to walk out on the fishing jetties,..both are flooded now.

The entire area will be flooded in a few weeks,..even the road.
    2017-09-22_11.22.24.jpg

Swans will love it of course,..the canal and river will become one.

Cayuga Morning,..she is like my shadow,..i only have to get up off the chair to go into another room and she is behind me,..the only time she is on her own is when i go into the Supermarket and she makes a fuss in the car,..yelping but soon stops,..i guess she is scared i will leave her,..between her changing from a house dog to being put outside,..then the animal Rescue,..then to me all in a short enough space,..no wonder she is clinging to me.
    ====================================================================================

Jewell,..everyone i meet tells me,..like a fox,..and she is identical to one lol,..the scars are all healed up and the hair is growing back fast.

Had to purchase a new harness,..the red one and the smallest one,.. was too big for her,..as can be seen

One of our favorite Doggy Walks is finished as of today,..the authorities blocked it off because the river is rising fast.

Just whistle and she comes back running fast.

Philip, I am speechless, and about wordless with sorrow. I am so sad to read this news about your sweet Molly.
I haven't been on GS for SO long, and one of the first things I did was go to the pet forum to see Molly and you. I feel so sorry that I haven't known and extended my condolences. I remember how kind your were to me when we lost Missy and the youtube video you made for us that we cherish.
I see your have new cute little doggy and I now need to go see and read more about you new family member!

Your new friend Molly is just precious! I am so glad that you went ahead and adopted her. Kind of meant to be with her name being Molly? I think Molly would approve. I will enjoy seeing all the new pics, sounds like there is already a few good stories.!

Oct 10th 2017. 065.jpg Hi Kay,..sorry i missed when you posted,..i was away from the computer for over three weeks,..not that i was enjoying myself lol.

Yep a new dog on the block,..wearing the late Mollies Dog Tag and the even later Hudson's Red Collar,..great little dog and no problems since she recovered from the attack and the stitches,..being house trained was a bonus.

Getting the new Foxy Molly within a week after poor old Molly was put to sleep helped ease the pain of her loss,..though i miss that goofy smiling dog.

Foxy Molly is so cute! Does she like to snuggle and cuddle with you? I hope so, but if not you can work on that this winter while its cold!

We seem to be very lucky here as we've had minimal damage from any of the storms. Our river did rise but not to the extent of breaking its banks. I just hope that the water recedes quickly and that the weather behaves itself for you throughout the winter.

Eileen,..we had lots of trees blown down plus electricity wires,..i had everything prepared for an electricity cut,..a small gas cooker,..a gas light,..torches and candles at the ready,..i didn't need anything,..apart from the scary strong wind all was as usual :).

Two drownings within a very short distance from the house,..one guy fell in,..the other parked his car beside the river then just walked in to the deep,..both bodies had to be searched for of course.

Below is how high the river rose at the weir.

Molly is even smaller than I thought Philip. Our dog's paw almost fills the palm of my hand!! I'm so glad she's settled in so well with you. You found each other at just the right time for you both.

Those spiders webs are impressive. I don't think I've ever seen so many in one place.

I don't think I'd like to live on the banks of a river that was prone to so much flooding. I certainly wouldn't park my car anywhere near it either.
