Good Friday morning all. Currently 5°C and overcast. I thought I felt a few drops of rain starting at the end of my dog walk.
Off to my final day of work. Lots to do so I hope the rain holds out so I can get it all done!
Have a great day all :)

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 6°C and overcast. We had lots of rain overnight, and have a special rainfall warning in effect for today. At least it held off for my dog walk!
Will be finishing my regular chores and then making a list of things I want to get done around here. Fall cleaning will be the first thing I do ... it was such a busy season that this house is a disgusting mess. I need to clean all the 'nooks and crannies' as well as wash down the walls, windows and wash the window coverings. Oh and de-clutter. I can't believe I'm actually EXCITED to CLEAN!! Have a great day all :)

Netty, if you are excited to clean, come on over to my house and you'll be ecstatic!
Today is cleaning up the zinnia beds and doing a bit of pre-holiday list making. Every year I make a list of those who get cookie plates, breads, etc. and each year I get enthused, over-bake, and end up tossing the list and inundating friends with baked stuff!

Good morning all. Spent yesterday with Randy's Mom, they had more paper work about vehicles to get cleared up.
Today is NASCAR at Texas Motor Speedway on TV and knitting. Then later a grocery store trip for the week.
We have one more day of summer temps (today is to be in the low 90s) then the days get much cooler but the chance of rain doesn't really increase the only rain in the forecast is 'light rain' on Wednesday. No rain in 3 weeks so the ground is hard as a rock again. Leaves are falling but it's from being dead not the lovely look of changing weather conditions.

Netty... I can relate all too well... But I don't like to clean.. or at least I really don't look forward to it but I like it when it is done. I have a rainbow sweeper and I think I emptied the bowl 4 times while cleaning the great room. dust, dog hair cat hair and more dust. things that haven't been moved in months and months. the furniture.. ugh... Maya thinks she can sneak onto one of the couches if we aren't in there.... I keep the furniture circled like a corral when I am not in there which is most always.... but sometimes my children forget to move it back after they leave the room. I started putting the clothes drying rack across the door so she cant get in there.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 6°C and windy with overcast skies.
My first day off would have started off better if I hadn't forgotten to turn off my 4:30am alarm!
Lots to do inside, but I think I'm going to try to get some of my gardens cleaned out instead. Weather is just getting colder and I just want it done. The inside work will still be here next week. Putting in a pork roast early because we have to be at the arena at 5.
Have a great day all :)

Not a good day here. Yesterday a gunman opened fire on a small rural church, killing 26 people and wounding 20. He used an assault rifle. Texas is mourning. I'm so upset--when will the assault rifles, bump stocks, 100 round clips be banned? Never.

We got the news over here. Awful.
We here cannot get our heads around laws that would make it possible.

Sadly, it's easier to blame an object than it is to face the real issue, or in this case, issues. His past history showed clear indications of mental health issues. The cowardly killer (I have a more fitting name for him, but I'll stick with coward in family friendly settings) had been dishonorably discharged from the military, and had been convicted of domestic violence. That's a double whammy against firearms ownership. Simply touching a gun under either of those conditions is a Federal felony. The little coward didn't seem to care. He didn't care if the explosives found in his car were illegal, either. Setting off a bomb in (or under) the church would have been far more devastating, but (thanks to the news media) shootings are far more fashionable. By giving these snivelling cowards fame, the press is culpable in every death. His name will stay front and center until ratings drop. Then, and only then, will he be relegated to the trading card producers. Yes, they exist. http://tinyurl.com/ycp5cm6t The public is being spoonfed the lie that they need to know all about him. A few "Inquiring Minds" feel the need to feed their buzzard reflex, but the common American simply wants to know that they can feel safe once again. That's something the modern press cannot abide. Fear sells, and "If it bleeds, it leads" is the new name of the game, and ratings are the ultimate goal. If doing the right thing drops the ratings, the right thing goes out the window. Banning odd looking weapons (that's all a so call assault rifle is) won't help, it'll just up the ante to the point where bombs are the new weapon of choice. The Bath School disaster in 1927 stands as a stark reminder that those bent on destruction will find a way, and still holds the record as the worst school massacre in American history. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/hist...americas-deadliest-school-massacre-180963355/

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 7°C and sunny.
Yesterday's plans were changed ... was going to drop my daughter off at her friends and then get into some serious cleaning or gardening. My car wouldn't start, and so there wasn't much accomplished. Hubby may have solved the problem so hopefully we can get out today.
Have a great day all :)

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -1°C and overcast. It was a chilly dog walk this morning!
Car started fine yesterday, but I'm wondering if I need a new battery. I guess I will know when I go out to start the car this chilly morning.
Getting ready for the temperature drop tomorrow and we will see snow by Friday. I'm not ready for this!!
Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Cool weather and sprinkles here and sadly those sprinkles are all we are predicted to get out of this. The radar looks promising but those things can be so deceiving.

Bright and sunny today. Cool temps though, you needed a winter coat. It seemed like everywhere I drove I was driving into the sun. Guess we didn't time it right. I did get from here to where we were going without getting lost though. Made it home, too. But, it's supposed to be only 26 tonight and have some freezing rain and snow in the morning. That's because we have a doctor appointment at 8:30 am. That's how things work. If we were staying home it would be nice again. dooley
