    Hello,

My morning glories have a discoloration on the leaves as seen in the attached photos. The discoloration starts as the yellow-light green patches seen in the first picture and then look worse over time, eventually including some brown. Eventually the leaf turns yellow and dies.

The larger blueish white marks on the leaves are residual fungicide that I have started spraying. Does anyone know what the problem is here. I don't like spraying without knowing what I am trying to get rid of, but I also don't like losing entire plants while I am trying to figure things out.

    Thanks for the advice,

Maybe you have spidermites, if you look under the leaves, are there tiny white mites.

I have had mites in a few other locations before. I will check tomorrow and see if I can find any. I have never seen spider mites in plants that were not shrubs of some kind (privet, arborvitae, etc) but who knows.

If it turns out I do have mites, I guess I would probably try neem oil unless there are other suggestions.

I looked for mites today and don't see anything on either side of the leaf. I can't see anything moving at all and no sign of webs.

To me, this looks more like a fungus of some kind. It is getting worse so I tried spraying with the bonide copper fungicide instead of daconil. If I don't get this under control soon, the plants will be gone well before they ever bloom.

It is a fungus called Powdery Mildew, remove the infected leaves (it is spread by the wind) and do not compost them. Neem oil spray is a good choice for spraying the rest of the plant.

I believe that is probably spider mites as well.
It could also be those tiny, green leaf hoppers.

I agree with all the suggestions above. Instead of the Neem oil, which works great, I put some dish soap in some water and stir it up to get lots of bubbles. Then, I cover the plant with the bubbles and let sit for a few minutes, then rinse off thoroughly. Works great!
