    Hello,

My partner received a flower as a gift pre-Xmas, but I only found it after we got home several weeks later. It spent that period in our corridor in a bag. When I did find it, the leaves were entirely yellow, but the flowers, which were bright pink and white, looked good.

I submerged the pot in water and put it on a window sill a few days ago. In that time its leaves and flowers entirely dropped off. However, in their place was new growth. All of the stems for this new growth feel turgid, which I hope is a sign they're alive and healthy.

I've just watered it again (it had gone almost dry) as well as fed it, and pulled off the dead and droppy flowers. However, in doing so I've exposed parts of the plant, and now I'm worried I've made it worse (pictures attached).

Is this plant definitely a goner, or is there hope? I'd appreciate any help!

well, you have a cyclamen if that is any help. it is a plant that is produced from a tuber. often any tuber that goes dormant will regrow from the tuber itself. I would suspect it should regrow. no guarantees but keep it in a warm bright spot and DON'T keep watering it. allow it to look as if it is getting dry before you water it. good luck.

Wise advice Carolyn. I did what you are suggesting Jack does with a cyclamen I had a few years ago and it came back to life. Good luck Jack I hope yours does the same.:fingerscrossed:
