In one of my posting about my trip to China, Philip Nulty mentioned to me about Bombay Duck and that was the first time in my life to come across it so I googled it. I did not know that this little ugly creature was so popular in India and made its way to the west especially in UK.

When I saw the picture in google I instantly remember eating this fish fried or in mung bean/glass noodle soup. This morning we went to the market to get our supply of fish and this thing called Bombay duck is a plenty, it is in season.

Here we call it "siteng" in Chinese meaning 4 lights and I have no idea why, maybe it glow in the dark . So a Bombay duck is not a duck but a FISH!!! :D
