The first picture is early around 6:45 a.m. and the other ones progress as the sun comes up...

I can't find words that are good enough to describe your gorgeous photographs Sherry. I just wish I could be there with you to experience them for myself. How lucky you are to see such wonderful sunrises and colours.

Well thank you Eileen....I think it is better in person to see than the photos. In the 3rd picture I was standing out doors waiting for the sun to come up and I started getting cold hands...so I just snapped the picture and came back inside. It's my favorite of the pictures this morning...

Our sunrise comes through the trees outside of our living room window. After awhile we have to get up and pull the blinds shut because it starts to blind us. This morning was a morning like that. The sun was shining all day. It called for sun glasses when we went out during the day. But, Monday is calling for an 80 percent chance of a mix of snow, sleet and rain. I guess winter isn't over yet. dooley

Lovely colours, sunrise is the best part of the day. I cannot make out whether the lake is frozen or not.

Yes it is frozen Odif...we have had some nice weather and some of it melts and then it freezes again...and after a few days of 40's it is melting but that will change soon...what I have read about the lake, it is only around 9 feet deep. The north end is Lake Poygan and the south end is Lake butte de morts (?sp.) We just moved here in the end of September so we are still learning a lot of things about the area. Last winter Lake Winneconne was open quite a bit and we could see the eagles eating fish on the ice when we came to the property.
