Passion Fruit

    I got the seeds from the fruit. The seeds need to be cleaned from the gooey stuff thoroughly then I planted them directly in peat moss, the took 2 weeks to sprout. (photos taken 27 October 2017 after 6 weeks of planting):

    You certainly have green fingers liono. Seeds seem to know that if they grow for you they'll get 5 star attention.:smt045

    Mmm,, those have different leaves from ours ! I have some of the fruit from ours dried. I could send you some but you may not get them till next year. :)

    Mart, there are over 200 species in the Passiflora genus around the world and to make matters even more confusing I believe each one has a different looking leaf :rolleyes: There are nine different species native to the US and from what I have seen the leaves are different even between those.

    Mine are wild and grow along the pasture fence. They are the purple ones with fruit a bit larger than a golf ball. Do not have pics . Between them and wild morning glories I battle them every year in the large garden.
    Both are invasive in our area. Jim missed spraying one on the fence last year so I grabbed a couple of fruit from it.
