Good afternoon all. Hot and dry here. No rain in the two week forecast and in the last 2 months we have only had 4.5 inches spread out in dribbles over those 8 weeks. And we will be ending May with temps just under the 100 deg mark. Whooooopie!!! Summer has started already and 6 more months of it to come.
But the brand new central air conditioning system will help me ignore summer, put the thermostat down on stun and play jingle bells over and over and over.....I just might keep my sanity.

Good Holiday Monday all! Currently 12°C and sunny.
I had a very busy day in the garden yesterday ... rototilled the veggie plots and raked out, dug up the perennial bed beside the porch and reorganized a few things, weeded the entire back garden and planted a few of the planters up. I've been advertising some perennials for sale and so went to spend the proceeds on some new plants.
Today I would like to get my onions, carrots, kale and potatoes planted. I think I'm going to hold off on the peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers until next weekend as it is still a little cool at night. We shall see what this weeks weather brings.
I also need to squeeze some time in for some housework.
Have a great day all :)

An early Monday evening. Earlier today I planted four zinnias for a customer.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 12°C and spitting rain. It is getting darker by the minute and so I think we are in for a downpour.
Off to work, where I will be working alone today as my co-worker has already called to let me know she won't be in today.
That could change a few of my plans.
Have a great day all :)

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 12°C and foggy.
The alarm work me up this morning and it startled me ... felt like I just fell asleep!
Off to another busy day at work, followed by a meeting for the skating club, and I think it will be an early night. I am tired already!
Have a great day all :)

Still raining here! I've decided I prefer working in a light rain to hot sun. Noticed my squashes looking a little pale, wondering if they are just waterlogged. Anyway, we installed a rain barrel an hour before the first rainstorm LAST SATURDAY!!! It's great -- I have a full rain barrel and the rain gutter diverter works. Yay.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 10°C and clear.
I've been a busy girl ... work, eat, sleep, take daughter to skate. Not much time for anything else this week. Today I'll pick up some groceries and maybe a few plants on the way home. Then finally an evening that is MINE!
Have a great day all :)

On Saturday I planted a few bean seeds. Yesterday at 7:00 a.m. when I left for work, I noticed that a little sprout was visible so I said "Hello little bean! So nice to see you!" By the time I got home at 4:30, it had two leaves and three friends! Made me smile. Can't wait to see them this morning. LOL.

Good Friday morning all and TGIF!
Another exhausting week almost over, just one more day to get through. Today we will be busy planting and watering at work. Tonight, I will cut grass and water.
    Tomorrow I'll be sleeping in!

Good morning all. I am putting off getting out front, just 3 small plants to get into the ground and I really need to do it before the sun hits the spot where they are going.
Daisybeans I wander around talking to my plants every chance I get, they do respond and it helps keep my blood pressure low.....course I have gotten very good at not moving my lips when I am talking to the plants in the front garden so the neighbors don't wonder about me.
Tomorrow afternoon my youngest grandson graduates from high school....18 years old, my gosh where did the years go!!

Good Monday morning all. Currently 15°C and clear. It's going to be a scorcher today, feeling like 37°C!
I had a busy weekend trying to get the gardens planted. I got most done, still lots of weeding to do.
A busy day at work ahead too ... still planting and will need to water everything as well. Skating tonight with my daughter.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Watering the back garden may be all I can tolerate of the ourdoors today and for the next month it appears. Temps are on the rise, the first week of June looks to be between 100 and 107 F (38-42 c) and that is not counting what the feels like temp will be...add another 5-10 degrees to that and you will know why I will be inside with the new AC unit on 'stun' to keep my sanity.
I think I will have to watch my collections of winter movies while knitting and sing 'dashing through the snow' over and over again.

@toni your summer is truly like our winter, with the temps being so inhospitable that you have to plan your forays outside with the weather in mind. Your summer activities are what I would do in the winter!

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 14°C and clear. I'm up bright and early and ready to walk the dog before starting work at 6am. That extra hour in the morning really makes a difference when it's hot and humid! Still planting annuals and getting things weeded and we are WAY behind.
Have a great day all :)
