This is a photo of where we’re going camping this w/e..on our way right now as a matter of fact. So help me make a wish that our camping experience this weekend will be half as lovely as this picture depicts. I am NOT a camper y’all, I like my creature comforts too much! But the lure of spending a long weekend with Ron and some if his family who I love, by a lake where I get to kayak and sea-doo and hike and do all the physical things I love to do is just too good to pass up!! I hope the whole week-end gives you beautiful sunny weather during the day and cool nights under canvas. Long gone are the days when Ian and I used to go camping. Like you I now much prefer a comfortable bed to a sleeping bag.
You flatterer!!! Back home now. I had such a good time! Really surprised myself by enjoying this adventure far more than I expected! I mean, I knew I'd have fun with the folks there, and OF COURSE I knew I'd LOVE all the physical stuff..the kayaking and wave running and tubing and hiking!! But I didn't expect to enjoy sleeping outside, cooking over a fire, just generally roughing it, the way I did! Such a blast! Here are the last of the photos to share, as I return to reality and get ready for my work week! About to head out on the wave runner! I have some video too, which I'll post separately once I get it uploaded to youtube. Then there was the tubing...Glen and Renee rode the wave-runner..one as the driver and the other one backwards as the spotter, and they towed me on the tube. The waver runner can get up to 50 mph so it was quite a rush let me tell you!!! That's me out there being towed! See? Taking it easy close to the shore with Ron's daughter and one of the littles Last night there we changed it up and went mini-golfing! I got to hug a cow, we were sabotaged by the gophers, Ron had to shoot one of his shots while also patting his head while I had to do the same on my knees! What a hoot!
Wish we had mini golf courses like that here. I'd love to have a play on one like that!! Not quite so sure about the wave running though but from your big smile you enjoyed every moment. Thanks for all the wonderful photographs.
