KK, I enjoyed your vacation to Japan. I tried to leave a message, but for some reason it didn't work.
Thank you for the tour. The two of you seem to stop often to eat! :D

KK, as I look at the food, it appears quite different by comparison to US foods. I would need to taste it.

We use garlic, pepper, parsley, basil, slightly spicy.
Are the foods in Japan more bland?

KK, I had a dear sister in law who grew up in Japan. However the only food she served was American fare.I did eat once at a Japanese restaurant. So long ago I have forgotten. The food at Chinese restaurants doesn't hold much appeal for me.

It is strange to hear that your sister in law just served American food, maybe you should her to do Japanese :)
The Chines food I guess is no longer original anyway when I was in Southern China I didn't like their food too because it was too oily. My son went to Shanghai he said the food was really good. But here in Malaysia the Chinese food is YUM! :)

KK, sadly our Shizu (Susie in English) is no longer with us.
I imagination she learned to cook what her husband was accustomed to.
