What is doing really well in your yard today?

I got a box of 100 Gladiolus bulbs around end of Feb/early March & they are really providing some "wow" now:

My most recently propagated baby Hydrangea is starting to bloom.

Angel trumpets (Brugmansia) are going to start putting on a beautiful & scented show soon:

Did you plant a few gladiolus at a time and then wait a few weeks before planting more?

Purpleinopp, the spacing of the plant time of the gladiolus is something I learned years ago.

I'm so glad you shared it! If ever I find myself with more new bulbs, I will do that. I don't plan to disturb the ones I've already planted.

Coleus is starting to grow super-fast, as it always does in the heat. I'm still sticking cuttings in bare spots in my landscape, that await being filled with Gardenias, Hydrangeas, Brugmansias, as I propagate more of them.

Elephant ears love that it has rained normally so far this summer (taro, Colocasia esculenta.) 2018-06-23 017.JPG
    So does Lantana.

Potted porch plants also love the heat & humidity, as long as I can add water often enough.

Good morning purpleinopp, all is looking very nice. I'm looking at your elephant ears, and would like to ask the amount of sun they get. In the three to four years I've been planting them, only one year did they do well.

TYVM! I put those EE's in my most shady spot, with no direct sun. C. esculenta makes the biggest leaves in more shade.

Other kinds of EE, like Alocasia & Xanthosoma, make their biggest leaves out in the sun.

Do you know what kind you have? How are you storing them over winter?
