Still cool here, lower 40's. Sunny though but windy. Typical fall weather. We didn't get the snow flurries they were getting in Green Bay. There was frost out on the grass behind the apartment complex this morning. dooley

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 6°C and overcast. I woke expected temperatures in the minus numbers, so I am happy with 6 degrees.
Off to work where the fall clean out continues. Today we will put the 14 Rose bushes to bed, one of my least favourite fall jobs.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Just 1/4th of an inch in the rain gauge this morning so in the past 7 days we have gotten 12 inches. Reminds me of October 1980 after the record dry and 100+++ temps for 70 days we had two weeks in October of all day/every day rain that cooled everything down and brought regular fall temps to us after that..and a really nice cold Winter!!

Last night was interesting in our neighborhood. A swarm of police cars with lights and sirens showed up on our street and a couple of others around us, blocked off intersections to stop any one from leaving the area . Two helicopters flew in circles over the area for about an hour. Officers with flashlights walking up and down alleys. We heard they were looking for someone but no other information came our way. They eventually left and a few minutes later two more police cars went down our street and wandered the neighborhood. Then all was quiet for the rest of the night. Our house is alarmed so we knew anyone trying to get in would set it off and most of our neighbors have dogs that sound off when someone walks down the alley and their homes are alarmed too. One of the joys of living in the city o_O

toni because there's open field by we and the canal roots...there's many a night a police helicopter cover our area and shine the beam, sometimes they come so low it's like they're on the roof.
My hubbies been and brought more cam's again

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -1°C and clear.
We had rain, sleet, hail and then finally snow yesterday, along with strong winds. Sounds quiet out there now, I guess I'll find out in a few minutes when I go out to walk the dog.
I am bundled up good for work today, and hopefully I can get in a full work day today.
Have a great day all :)

Good evening. It was a warm Friday. I planted both mid-Spring-and late-Spring tulip bulbs for a customer.

Currently 73°F but will be 45° tonight and 36° Sunday night... So I brought my peppers inside after a thorough going over for pests and a moderate pruning, leaving some pods (& blooms!) to ripen over the next 4-6 weeks.

Also got rid of all but 3 tomato plants which had fruit to ripen.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 5°C and clear.
I'm up and ready for work, and this will be my last week this season. Fall cleanup is almost done and the gardens are getting put to bed for the season.
Then I can begin cleanup in my own gardens!
Have a great day all :)

Had our first light frost this am with temps of 36° in the morning. Highs will be 65-70° over the next few days. My cabbages and radishes and brussel sprouts are hanging in there...
