The women should be learning domestic skills.

Petronius, I also can still wear my high school slacks, but now they are called "gloves."
"The women should be learning domestic skills"? Really, in this day and age everybody should be learning "domestic skills." Women can vote, hold down important jobs, run for political office, and be the mainstays of our homes, families, and communities. "Domestic skills" my foot!

 

I'm just glad it's a 50/50 household here between me and hubby

 

It's more 60/40 when Ron and I are together...he does at least 60% of the domestic work! He loves to cook, he cleans up after himself and me when we're done eating, runs the laundry...he's a domestic god!

 

Domestic skills ? No one knows what that is any more ! I mean with McDonalds and BurgerKing,, why bother ? Thats the way they look at it ! We have two generations of people that,,should we have a nationwide disaster,, would starve to death !

 

Ronni it sounds like we have to great blokes mate ...he's clean like your bloke but I've had OCD since a kid so regarding the home that's me, he does all the maintenance work to the property being a retired builder and when we was finally courting one another he'd cook me a nice meal and I asked him several times if I could cook a meal for him and the answer was a blunt NO.... as he said I like cooking and me being married before plus being more or less a slave...my answer was carry on then and 17yrs we've been together and i've never done a meal.

 

Should people actually tell other people they need eyeglasses?

 

Don't rub it in Petronius...my eyes are bad enough as it is besides the opticians on my back keep sending reminders
