Do you write letters in cursive handwriting to people?

Sadly I now find it easier to dash off an email or make a 'phone call. The only time I write letters is at Christmas.

Any letters I've done have been to official places otherwise no...i'm like Eileen would rather speak to the person.

Communication in ANY form is powerful stuff as social media informs us of that fact. I applaud writing and reading in any form. Thanks Petronius for posting that!

I have both feet firmly planted in the 19th century. I write letters, notes, cards by hand, and I've only recently graduated to a ball point pen and given up my beloved quill pen (kidding, I tried a quill pen and failed miserably. I don't know how our forefathers managed to be so prolific and comprehensible with all that trimming and dipping of quills).
I enjoy getting e-mails and private messages from fellow Gardenstew members, but for many communications, I write and hope the recipient can read my rather poor handwriting!

I am a prolific email writer because it's quick and I can reach a group of people all at once. I routinely send out emails for family events, get togethers etc., so that everyone involved can see whatever back and forth is needed and I don't have to repeat the same information over and over again to each individual.

I do however write thank you notes and other more significant correspondence by hand. I have a small, tasteful assortment of stationary, cards etc.,and some personalized notepaper. I will never entirely let go of that particular social grace!

I've done email letters and also normal letters..only to people in authority when it's been needed.

Hopefully when people in authority receive handwritten letters, they do not ignore the letters.
