One of my most favorite sayings is: "Don't look back...you're not going that way!' When my kids were little a favorite was: "Do not prepare the road for your child. Instead, prepare your child for the road." I still use this one as motivation to begin difficult tasks: "The longest journey begins with the first step." This one keeps me cautious and vigilant when I need to be: "When someone shows you who they really are, believe them." What about you?
"To be interested in the changing seasons is a happier state of mind than to be hopelessly in love with Spring "----George Santayana "Follow your Bliss" - Joseph Campbell "It does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.” ? Thomas Jefferson "Computers are like Old Testament gods, lots of rules and no mercy." - Joseph Campbell "The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are." ~ Joseph Campbell "Find a place inside where there's joy, and the joy will burn out the pain." ~ Joseph Campbell “The most valuable of all talents is that of never using two words when one will do.” ? Thomas Jefferson

"Loose lips sink ships", this one has kept me out of trouble. "Only sheep stamp their feet", I made this one up to say to my young nieces when they start acting petulant and stamping the ground. They find it funny and it works! "There is no such thing as a free lunch", or its variant "If something seems too good to be true, it probably isn't" "If you find work you love you'll never work a day in your life" "There's no smoke without fire", or its variant "If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it's probably is a duck"
We were so unsure of living and moving to the lake...After a night of not sleeping well and trying to make up our minds...I said to my Husband..."Let's go for it, Change is Good! I am so happy we did, we love living where we do and the lake is beautiful...
