We had an overnight rain/sleet event, and when we got up (no damage, except to my feelings) we saw a landscape transformed. Here is a photo of one of our antique roses that sets rose hips, made into something special: It was pretty, and I sincerely hope I never see this again!
Darn MG ! We didn`t get anything like that ! 75 degrees one day and 22 degrees by morning the next day !
We have been looking at that sort of scenery for the last week or so. Foggy drizzle and ice. It was coating the tree branches with ice. It looked great but it was too cold to go outside to look at it. dooley
It is beautiful if you are inside. thats a really good reason to stay put. there is nothing about being out in that doesn't spell disaster. hopefully it is gone by now.
That is not fair....I am about 3-4 hours north of you and all I got was a little rain with a thin layer of ice on the rain barrel water pot. Mother Nature and I need to have a long talk, maybe I can find out how much it will cost for her to let me have some winter weather for a change.
Thank you all for the kind words and concern. We had no damage, the cats were less than happy but they holed up in their shelter, and the hens were warm and got treats. I (you guessed it!) baked. Toni, the next time we get cold, sleet, etc. I'll package it up and send it to you. No charge!
