gutting it to the studs and sub-floor.
The builder of this house should be hung, then tried. Then shot. Then drawn and quartered. Then hung again for good measure. Buried. Wait fifty years, exhume the body and do it all over again.
This is only the first of two bathrooms I'm doing. A partial kitchen remodel/update to follow.

FBG, I am lucky, as is your wife, that we have live-in competent workmen. Your bathroom will be great (and yes, I'd love to see photos of the completed project) and fully functional. I cannot understand how some contractors get by with the shoddy work they do.

Wishing you luck! We're going to have to do the same thing to our Master...well Ron is mostly! I'm not living there yet, but it has to be done before I can move in. He has people coming next weekend to reinforce the floor under the existing bathroom, and then the whole thing's going to be torn out and relocated to the other side of the room, along with the existing closet so as to create a bigger bathroom and walk in closet. The bathroom remodel is the thing Ron is dreading the most about the remodel. I, on the other hand, am giddy with the decorating potential! :D:cool:

I too want photos, pretty please!!! I am just about to update my ongoing thread "DUI'ing mu future home" with with more photos because we're mostly finished with the laundry room upgrade. I think photo progress is an excellent way to bolster flagging spirits when we've been working our a$$es off for what feels like forever but don't feel like we've accomplished much. Then we go back and look at the evidence, and it changes our whole perspective!!

Wishing you the best of luck! Keep us updated on your progress!

Well, file too large. I'll try to figger it out when I get home. If, I get home. Oh yeah. SWMBO is just a wee bit exasperated by the dust that got everywhere during demolition. I may even live through it.

The other two are the same size and yet they won't load????? The drywall is up and the shower is tiled. I'll try to learn how to do this picture thingy. Work is getting in the way of getting this thing back on schedule, I'm almost a week behind.

Love to see a bunch of in-progress shots if you can figure out how to post 'em.

Exciting times there. We did our bathroom a few months ago. It took several days as there were different guys that did different jobs. Good luck there mate.

Good luck, I know it is coming in late, I figure you have it all set up now.
