All dogs are therapy dogs. The majority of them are just freelancing. Cats just don't care, but inadvertently bring calmness and happiness.
I agree too. My dog is go go go all the time and wants to be with me and please me at all times. He doesn't stop! My cat was the opposite ... she used to sneak into my room at night and curl up on my neck and end my day with her purring me to sleep. I lost her last August and miss her a lot.
When I worked in a nursing home there was a Pomeranian named "Ms Scarlett" that the residents absolutely loved! The only thing that the ladies looked forward to as much as Ms Scarlett was the weekly hairdresser visits.
