Odif, thank you for the garlic compliment. I can't believe with all you do, all you grow, all the pruning and trimming you do, that you were "too lazy" to plant. You probably just ran out of time!

Marlingardener it‘s true, at the Time i was making Wood and doing Other Things so I just didn‘t get round to plant my garlic. I did nothing in the garden till the beginning of March apart from planting 50 lettuces in December. We are eating them now.

It doesn't look 20yrs old though, the trouble is I've found potting plants they soon grow out of them...I just adore Acers they have really mature ones at the local garden centre by we and omg the price is lovely :smt044..yes keep getting those pots while you can as they're so unusual.
Oh yes he's left it to me alright, I can't use the hose half the yard looks like a bombs hit it, with this shed lark [IMG]

Check for roots running deep. While I am sure there are many varities, as a global population we have all been encouraging larger clove sizes no doubt the same way our ancestors encouraged maize. The original maize reminds me of those okra sized pickled corn I can buy in the store these days. Cocktail corn I think they call it. Genetically, its story could entertain all at a cocktail party, if I had my choice on guest list anyway! :)

Some Acers are really slow growing Gail and don't grow very big you can restrict nearly any plants growth by using small pots and pruning just look at bonsai https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=b...7d_hAhXXQxUIHSM0A9sQ_AUIDygC&biw=1366&bih=635

I cant keep getting this kind of pot if you remember my post from last year there a one off that i come across and paid a fortune for the three, i have other pots though.

Dirtmechanic, that is just slightly scary. However, in the garden with proper dim lighting at night, it might keep predators at bay! (Also neighbors, passersby, and stray children!)

I have one of those Groots too, he holds my computer reading glasses sitting to the left of the monitor.
Jane, it is only about 6 inches tall and is a character in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.

Potted a dozen tomatoes (Roma and San Marzano) plus a couple bok choy and habanero plants. Made my wife a lantana and Iris garden. Pruned some wisteria vines.

    A normal, busy Easter weekend.
