Hello all! I'm a very amateur but keen gardener so thought I'd join the site/forum to meet like-minded people and hopefully get some tips. I've been gardening for a couple of years now; since I moved in to a house with a nice sized back garden that gets the sun during the day and have been growing strawberry, blackberry, raspberry and blueberry bushes among other things. I'm quite interested in nature as well and love to try and invite as much wildlife in to my garden as possible so when it comes time for me to upload pictures those who love a nice neat garden please avert your eyes as some parts are kept purposefully a bit wild!
Welcome! Many of us are also trying to provide for wildlife, and don't keep a regimented garden. I've even been told my gardens look like "jungles" but the butterflies, bees, dragonflies, etc. seem to like it. Please post photos--we love to see each others' gardens!
Hi there and welcome to GardenStew from Scotland. I haven't got a neat and tidy garden either and don't want one. The birds, small mammals, insects and amphibians love it and that's good enough for me. It doesn't matter what others think as long as your garden is the way you are happiest with it. Bring on your photographs as I'm sure we'll all enjoy seeing them!!
I plant for the critters who make my garden (front and back) their home. I even have possums who wander around there at night. I do not have grass growing anywhere front, back or either sides, I do not pull up weeds because you never know which critter might find them a gourmet dining experience. My backyard is a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation so there are some things I just will not do simply because one or more critters might be harmed. Do please post your photos, yours will fit right in with ours.

Hi, Welcome to GardenStew from Chelmsford, MA, USA. A lot of us have wild parts to our gardens. It reminds us that our gardens were once wild and they will be wild again. In the mean time we try to keep the beans, carrots and peas are in a row. Jerry
