Spotted Sandpiper ....

    It took me a while to find out what this small bird was but it ended up being a Spotted Sandpiper ....this was my first sighting of him . I am not sure if he is passing through the area or if he will stay before migrating back in the fall, this is part of his breeding area ...

    Well captured Sherry. I haven't seen one of these birds around here for years so it's good to know they are still around somewhere.

    Hope you don't mind me sharing your thread. It is always great to see a new species. I just thought that you may like to see this species in winter, no spots.
