Such good information. I stuck some comfrey roots in our wild back half lot last year and have a big pot of it that I need to get into the ground. It is definitely not the spreading/self sowing type so I feel safe. It was planted it back in case my son ever decides on chickens. Only have two fruit trees left and have been focusing on spring bulbs and flowering shrubs in that area. Nice to know the bees enjoy comfrey also. All we have for bees this year are the wild varieties, including a couple of species of bumble bees. No city hives in the vicinity this year. I don’t really mind since the wild bees tend to be fewer when there are honey bees. The bumble bees have done an awesome job pollinating the blue berries so far. It is amazing how fast the bumble bees multiply when there is an abundance of flowering plants available.
