Ron has been telling me about a local nursery for weeks, so we finally went to visit it. Several hundred dollars later we left with a truckbed full of stuff. 5 shrubs--2 for next to the garage, and three for next to the tiny house, 2 hanging plants for the porch, 4 bales of pine mulch, a ground cover plant and several flats of various plants for the pots! You can see some of the haul here. I found this amazing hanging basket! There was no label on it but it looks like Wandering Jew...er Wandering Dude (my daughter told me it's no longer appropriate to call it by the name I've known it by pretty much my whole adult life) and some kind of coleus, but I've never seen one that was viney like this one is! Anyway, I'm thrilled with the thing, it's just so pretty! It doesn't look like much yet, but Ron roto-tilled a side of the garage to prep it for a garden. Two of the bushes we bought are going to go there, along with some other plants still to be decided. At some point we're going to plant clematis or other climbing plant so it can climb that arch, but not yet. We want the arch for our wedding lol!! So it's going to need to stay bare till then so we can move it when we need to. Ignore the square thing in the middle of the arch...it's a slab of granite that Ron needs for something, and it just got leaned up there temporarily. Tilling in progress. After:
What a fantastic haul Ronni!!! I love everything. The arch is beautiful and I know that you'll decorate it and make it really gorgeous for your wedding.
Oh my word!! That is all just great. What a nice plan you have and it is already coming to fruition. Great plan Great result. It looks so good.
What a lovely and unique hanging basket. I’ve never seen anything like it around here. Your garden space looks great.
