It's time once again for the great seasonal strawberry harvest. We have had the first harvest now and the shelves in the pantry have been dusted-off and await the jam jars.
To kick the season off, we traditionally have strawberry shortcake...

Whipped cream in place...here we go!

Sjoerd, I like the cake and the berries, but hold the whipped cream, please!

Oké GP--I shall make sure that your portion won't have any with whipped cream...I suppose that I shall have to man-up and take your whipped cream allocation onto my dessert. ;)

Sjoerd, you're a very generous man. Extra whipped cream is not easy to swallow! :fingerscrossed:

What I like is Angel Food cake in a large bowl soaked in either Strawberry or Raspberry jello and the berries in the hole in the cake. Refrigerate until jello sets. Those who want Whipped cream may have it. I prefer mine without.
